Wedding Day Photography At Canada Lodge & Lake, Cardiff | Amy & Ashley
Amy & Ashley contacted me with regards to photography coverage for their wedding day at the stunning Canada Lodge & Lake in Creigiau, Cardiff, South Wales.
They were looking for part-day coverage with all of the important moments captured, so the photography took in an hour-or-so before the ceremony with some of the bridal preparation, the ceremony and reception venues, the actual ceremony itself, group photographs with family & friends, photographs of the newly wed couple themselves, and finally the cutting of the cake.
Part-Day Wedding Photography at Canada Lodge & Lake in Cardiff
Amy & Ashley opted for the "Cheeky Toast Package" to ensure that the key parts of their wedding day would be captured.
The Canada Lodge & Lake is situated in a breath-taking location that looks like something straight out of a fairy tale book.
What's also useful for everyone (including the wedding photographer!) is that the set up allows for the entire wedding day to take place within the same venue - with the ceremony on the ground floor & a separate reception room on the lower level that looks out onto the lake & luscious natural surroundings.
Despite being gifted a rainy overcast day outdoors, the couple had decorated the ceremony room beautifully, while fairy lights that were strung high from the ceiling of the wooden lodge helped add to a cosy November vibe with a warm intimate atmosphere.
Although we were unable to make full-use of the leafy exterior surroundings due to the weather (fortunately, inside the lodge is aesthetically pleasing enough that we carried out the group photos in front of a fireplace in the ceremony room), the rain did subside for long enough for us to catch some shots of the married couple in the afternoon just before the light disappeared.
